Comments

That’s enough from me, so here are some comments from some of the people who have enjoyed my food over the years.

"It's 40 degrees in the shade, the gas has run out, the shop's closed for a holiday, the plumber still hasn't fixed the drain, the teams are exhausted and starving – and Annie's dinner is on time, tastes wonderful, and everyone's smiling – even Annie! Annie was a wonderful person to work with: always organised, calm and efficient, whatever crisis the rather primitive conditions threw in her way. And her food was delicious, plentiful, varied and (best of all) on budget."

"If anything can shift my attention from pottery, it's the memory of Annie's cooking. You know what they say about your mother's cooking? Well, forget about it. You will when Annie has cooked for you!"

Kristina Winther Jacobsen, University of Cambridge, UK.
